First Time Homebuyers Workshops
Monson Savings Bank offers free workshops to help first-time homebuyers learn about purchasing a home. A first-time homebuyer is anyone who has never owned a home or who has not had ownership in any real estate for at least three years.
These workshops are designed to help first time homebuyers learn how to get pre-qualified for a mortgage, as well as the facts about special loan programs with low down payments. You will be amazed at what you can learn from our expert speakers, including our mortgage loan originators, a closing attorney, an appraiser, a home inspector, and homeowner’s insurance representatives.
"There are a lot of people who have good credit and enough income to afford reasonable mortgage payments but who are still challenged to purchase a home due to the difficulty of raising the money for a down payment, not knowing who to talk to or what the process is." said Dan Moriarty, President of Monson Savings Bank. "That's exactly who these programs are designed to help".
