Contributions MSB donates over $100k annually to support local organizations and the community members who utilize them.
Volunteering MSB representatives volunteer thousands of hours annually to support organizations that help our communities.
Partnerships We proudly partner with various charitable organizations, non-profits and local schools to help them to fulfill their missions.

Funding Priorities

Monson Savings Bank supports organizations and activities that serve the Greater Springfield area. Generally, financial resources will be focused on the following:

Community Services – Programs for low- to moderate-income individuals or areas
- For example: basic needs, health, nutrition, social services, childcare, education, work force development/job training programs
Affordable Housing – Initiatives that support affordable housing for low- to moderate-income individuals or areas
Economic Development – Activities which support economic development or revitalization or stabilization of low- to moderate-income communities
Educational Programs – Programs that promote financial literacy for children and adults
Civic, Cultural and Social Initiatives – Initiatives that support improving the quality of life for local citizens and the communities we serve.

Please understand that support in one year does not guarantee continued support in future years.

Monson Savings Bank does not generally provide support to:

For-Profit Organizations
Individuals
Individual Scholarships
Travel Support
Political Organizations or Candidates
Beauty/Scholarship Pageants
Organizations which do not provide service or benefit to the Bank’s geographic area.
Organizations seeking support to cover past operating deficits or undefined operations support.

Types of Contributions

Monson Savings Bank provides support in various ways:

Monetary Donations are made to non-profit and not-for-profit organizations. Monson Savings Bank does not receive any tangible benefit (e.g. advertising, entertainment, booth display, etc.) for the contribution.
Sponsorships help organizations raise money and may include advertising in event programs, banners or booth displays at events, ticket purchases for fundraising events, etc.
In-Kind Donations are item donations such as baskets or gift cards and are typically donated to an organization seeking an item for a fundraiser auction. For these requests, please contact one of our branch locations and speak with the branch manager.

Donation Request & Required Documentation

All requests should be submitted at least 60 days prior to event or need. Before you begin, please be sure to have the following ready to upload as there is not an option to save the application once started.

Tax ID number
Signed W-9 form or 501(c)(3) IRS designation letter
Any additional information (request letter, flyer, brochure, organization mission statement, or available sponsorship levels)
