Monson Savings Bank's East Longmeadow Branch Commemorates First Anniversary with Ribbon Cutting and Celebration

Monson Savings Bank’s East Longmeadow Branch recently invited members of the community to celebrate the one year anniversary of the opening of their newest location in East Longmeadow. In the interest of safety, the Bank did not hold a ribbon cutting when the Branch opened in August 2020. This year, everyone was thankful that they could safely gather to celebrate the East Longmeadow Branch with a belated ribbon cutting in honor of the Branch’s first anniversary.
“We were very happy to be able to invite members of the community to come celebrate our newest branch with us. This celebration was long overdue, but it was absolutely worth the wait,” said Dan Moriarty, Monson Savings Bank President & CEO. “We are extremely grateful to the East Longmeadow community for such a warm welcome to the neighborhood. Likewise, we are delighted to keep community banking in East Longmeadow and be an active member of the community.”
Local professionals and community members attended the ribbon cutting in support of the local community Bank, including Representative Brian M. Ashe. Many guests expressed gratitude to Monson Savings Bank for the Bank’s charitable generosity when it came to supporting community causes. Terry Glusko, Sr., East Longmeadow Veterans Memorial Committee Chair, shared with the guests how appreciative the East Longmeadow Veterans Memorial Committee was for the Bank’s donation of $10,000 to the project.
Following the ribbon cutting, the Bank invited the public to the East Longmeadow 1st Anniversary Branch Celebration. Visitors were given free giveaways, had chances to win over $500 in drawing prizes, and were able to enjoy free ice cream from the Batch Ice Cream truck, courtesy of Monson Savings Bank.
